Holiday Night on Adams

A few independent businesses on Adams are planning holiday walkabout with stores decorating for the holidays, some live music on the street and maybe some craft vendors set up around the neighborhoods. (This is not an AABA event)
•VISUAL ART SUPPLY: Delusional Hierarchy, an exhibition of paintings representing vaious styles including tattoo, graffiti, pop art and surrealism. Live d.j. and drinks.

The AABA is holding the Q4 (4th Quarter) Quarterly Member Mixer this Thursday at Gledhill's Vintage Furniture for the Merchcants and Employees of the Adams Avenue Business District.Come to see Gledhill's recent store front expansion and all of the beautiful furniture restoration work they do while spending a nice social time with fellow business owners and employees.

Pumpkin Carving Contest at Adams Avenue Farmers Market TONIGHT

Calling all Pumkin Carving Artists to the Adams Avenue Farmers Market TODAY (Wednesday) for the first Annual Carving Contest. it is an open contest, all you need to do is buy a pumpkin at the market and have it ready for judging by 6:00p.m. We'll have some great PRIZES for the winners!

FRIENDS OF NORMAL HEIGHTS CANYONS
The next meeting of the Friends of Normal Heights Canyons is Saturday, November 6, 10:00am - 11:30, meet at the end of Eugene Place for canyon maintenance, watering, and planning for the fall planting. Make sure you have sunscreen, water, and sturdy shoes.
We switched from the normal second Sat., odd # months, due to a canyon enhancement planning workshop in City Heights on the 2nd Sat. in November.
The even month, 2nd Wednesday meeting normally held tomorrow has been cancelled.
Please mark your calendars for the fall restoration planting on Saturday, December 4 - we'll be planting on the mesa this year. More details coming soon.
Thanks to all the volunteers who helped out at Coastal Clean Up Day on Sept. 25! We cleaned up over 100 pounds of trash and recycling, along with pulling invasives, and planting 15 new native plants in restoration sites 2 and 3.

Coastal Clean Up Day in Normal Heights Canyons
Reminder - the next meeting of the Friends of Normal Heights Canyons is (our regular odd month canyon maintenance/meeting) this Saturday, September 11, 10:00am - 11:30, meet at the end of Eugene Place.Please pass it on to your family/friends/neighbors - Coastal Clean Up Day in Normal Heights Canyons - Saturday, September 25, 9:00am - noon, meet at the end of Eugene Place (flyer attached). We'll plant some new native plants to fill in spots in Restoration sites 1-3, along with pulling out weeds/invasive plants, and trash pick up, so we can use lots of volunteers. Hope to see you there!
